Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is not expected until early 2026. Now details about the charging and chip has surfaced. According to leaker @UniverseIce on X and weibo, Samsung’s next flagship S26 Ultra series phone will get an upgrade in charging.
Samsung has been using 45W fast charging since the Note 10+ which was introduced back in 2019. This might finally change with the S26 Ultra, which could get 60W fast charging.
Earlier rumours revealed that the phone will stick to 5000mAh battery which it had been using since Galaxy S20 Ultra in 2020. However, some rumours point to 5500mAh battery for the phone.
Samsung will likely use the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 for Galaxy with improved clock speed compared to the standard 8 Elite 2 chip, which will be introduced in September, and will power several flagships. The tipster says that the 8 Elite 2 for Galaxy will have clock speed of up to 4.74GHz.
To remind you, the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy that powers the Galaxy S25 series is clocked up to 4.47GHz peak speeds, compared to 4.32GHz in the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite. The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is said to use TSMC N3P processor, and the GPU performance will be significantly improved.
The tipster also said that the body continues to become thinner, and the phone will be less than 8mm, it will get a larger screen, so the length and width of the body are slightly increased, and the weight will be reduced by a few grams.
We should know more details about the Galaxy S26 series phones in the coming months, before the official announcement in the coming months.
