
realme today launched the 15 Pro 5G, the company’s latest smartphone in the Pro series in India. It packs a 144Hz AMOLED screen, has IP66 + IP68 + IP69 ratings, and has a huge 7000mAh battery. Here we have the first impressions of the phone.

The realme 15 Pro 5G features a 6.8-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate. Since it has up to 6000 nits peak brightness, and up to 1800 nits HBM brightness, the screen is bright even outdoors. There is also Up to 4608Hz High-frequency PWM dimming, DC Dimming, and it has Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
It has an 50-megapixel camera inside the centre punch-hole. The earpiece is present on the top edge that doubles up as a secondary speaker. The phone has 1.72mm ultra-narrow bottom bezels, and 94% screen-to-body ratio.
Powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, the phone has up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM with up to 14GB of virtual RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. There is 7000mm² AirFlow VC cooling. It runs Android 15 with realme UI 6.0 and will receive two OS updates and 3 years of security updates, similar to the previous models.
There is MagicGlow 2.0 that adjusts skin tones and lighting in portraits, Party Mode that adds filters, lighting effects, and frames based on scene detection and the phone also comes with Edit Genie, a voice-based editing assistant, supports over 20 languages and can perform tasks such as background changes, glare correction, and applying visual effects using voice input.
Coming to the buttons and ports, the power button and the volume rockers are present on the right. The dual SIM slot is present on the bottom along with the USB Type-C port, microphone, and the speaker grill. The secondary microphone is on the top, along with vents for speaker and IR blaster. It has a plastic frame.

The phone has a 50MP main camera with 1/1.56″ Sony IMX896 sensor, and a 50MP P ultra-wide camera with 1/2.88″ OV50D sensor with up to 4K 60fps video recording support with both the front and rear cameras. There is also HDR video recording support. The phone doesn’t have a telephoto camera, which was present in the realme 14 Pro+ even though the ultra-wide camera is now better. The Flowing Silver colour variant that we have has a unique sand-textured back cover, offering exquisite craftsmanship, says the company. This has a plastic back. It also comes in Velvet Green with a vegan leather finish and the Silk Purple has a matte finish. There is multi-color pulse light on the back, inside the camera deco.
The phone has Armorshell Protection, IP68 + IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. It packs a huge, 7000mAh battery with 80W fast charging, yet it is just 7.69mm thick.
The realme 15 Pro 5G starts at Rs. 31,999 and will be available from Flipkart, realme India online store and offline stores starting from July 30th. There is also Rs. 3000 bank offer, so the effective starting price is Rs. 28,999.
