
Infinix launched the Infinix Hot 60 5G+, the company’s latest budget 5G smartphone, in India last week. Here we have the unboxing and first impressions of the phone.

The phone has a 6.7-inch (720 x 1600 pixels) HD+ LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is bright since it has up to 560 nits peak brightness. There is Panda glass protection.
There is a 8MP front camera inside the tiny notch. You can also see a tiny LED flash on the top edge. It supports up to 2K 30 fps video recording. The earpiece is present on the top edge, but it doesn’t double up as a secondary speaker. There is a large bezel below the screen, which is common in phones in the price range.

The phone runs Android 15 with XOS 15 on top, and the company has promised 2 years of security updates. XOS 15 brings now lets you customize the size of the icons, and also shape and the colors. It has several special functions that support multi-tasking (Floating Window, Dynamic Bar), performance (Game Mode), and Security (Theft Alert, Peek Proof).
Under the hood, the Hot 60 5G+ is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 processor. It has support for 10 5G bands, has 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage.
Coming to button placements and ports, the power button that integrates the fingerprint scanner is present on the right side along with volume rockers. You can also notice an orange coloured One-Tap AI button below the power button. This launches Folax smart assistant offers weather updates, camera control, and friendly chats.
This can also be used as custom shortcuts for YouTube subscriptions, Shorts, New event, Map directions and more. It also says that the phone will come with Segment’s first Circle To Search feature. The UltraLink feature offers calls over Bluetooth even without network.
The hybrid dual SIM slot is present on the left side. The 3.5mm audio jack, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill are present on the bottom. There is no secondary microphone on the top. The Infrared sensor is actually present on the back inside the camera deco. It is just 7.8mm thick.

Even with a plastic back and frame, the phone feels solid in hand and there is a matte finish. The phone also comes in Sleek Black, and Shadow Blue colours. It has a 5200mAh battery with 18W fast charging. It has IP64 ratings for dust and splash resistance.
The Infinix Hot 60 5G+ is priced at Rs. 10,499 for the single 6GB + 128GB model and will be available from Flipkart, Infinix India online store and offline stores starting from today, July 17th at 12PM. There is Rs. 500 off on all banks as a part of launch day offer.
