MediaTek Dimensity 9500 surfaces in benchmarks


MediaTek Dimensity 9500 has surfaced in Geekbench OpenCL benchmark for the first time, after rumours. This reveals that it will still be an Octa-core processor with 1 x Travis+3 x Alto+4 x Gelas architecture.

It also reveals 1 x 3.23 GHz Cortex-X930 prime core for the first time, along with 3 x 3.03 GHz and 4 x 2.23 GHz performance cores. These are still sampling frequency and might change in the final model, according to leaker Digital Chat Station.

This also reveals that the chip will use a new Mali-G1-Ultra MC12 GPU. The test phone has 16GB of RAM and runs Android 16.

Based on earlier rumours, the 9500 will use Immortalis-Drage GPU with a new microarchitecture to improve ray tracing performance and reduce power consumption. Its Geekbench 6 single-core score is said to exceed 3900 points, and the multi-core is expected to exceed 11000 points.

The SoC is said to support 16MB of L3 cache, 10MB SLC, upgraded NPU 9.0, and is expected to provide 100TOPS computing power, support, 10667Mbps LPDDR5x RAM + quad-channel UFS 4.1 storage. Its Geekbench 6 single-core theoretical setting will exceed 3900 points, and the multi-core will exceed 11000 points, based on rumours.

The MediaTek Dimensity 9500 is expected to be introduced in early September 2025, before the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 arrives on September 23rd. As usual, OPPO and vivo are said to use the chips in their next flagships.
