FUJIFILM X-HF1 X half compact camera launched in India

FUJIFILM India has launched the FUJIFILM X-HF1, also known as the X half, as the latest addition to its X Series lineup.

Inspired by half-frame film cameras, the X-HF1 brings the charm of analog photography into a modern compact digital form—offering vertical shooting, film simulation, and a new 2-in-1 image creation feature.

FUJIFILM X-HF1 ‘X half’ Compact Camera

Weighing just 240g, the X half features a compact, retro-inspired body with an optical viewfinder, frame advance lever, aperture ring, and classic controls that evoke the feel of vintage film cameras. It includes a 3:4 aspect ratio rear LCD monitor optimized for vertical shooting, making it ideal for creators who prefer portrait framing or social media content.

The camera houses a 1-inch back-illuminated sensor paired with a 32mm F2.8 (35mm equivalent) fixed lens, delivering sharp image quality in a compact design. This focal length matches Fujifilm’s classic QuickSnap disposable camera, offering a nostalgic shooting experience.

With its optical viewfinder and energy-efficient build, the X half can shoot up to 880 frames per charge, ensuring all-day photography without interruption, the company claims.

Key Features
  • Creative Features: Supports vertical still and video shooting and introduces a 2-in-1 composition mode, letting users combine two photos or video clips directly in-camera, with additional editing options available via the companion X half app.
