Xiaomi SU7 Ultra sets Nürburgring lap time record


Xiaomi EV today announced a significant achievement in the realm of electric vehicle performance: its Xiaomi SU7 Ultra production model has established a new record for the Fastest Electric Executive Vehicle at the iconic Nürburgring Nordschleife.

The vehicle completed the challenging circuit with a lap time of 7:04.957 minutes, equipped with the optional track package. This accomplishment positions the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra as a notable contender in the high-performance electric vehicle segment.

The ability of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra to achieve this lap time is attributed to Xiaomi EV’s focus on track performance. The vehicle integrates “three core electric technologies” – electric motor, power battery, and motor control unit – alongside chassis torque-vectoring control and aerodynamic design.

The production model of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra maintains the engineering solutions and identical tri-motor configuration from the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Prototype, said the company. This powertrain setup, consisting of two V8s and one V6s e-motors, delivers a combined maximum power output of 1,548 PS. This configuration contributes to its acceleration from 0-100 km/h in as low as 1.98 seconds (with one-foot rollout subtracted) and a top speed exceeding 350 km/h.

The Nürburgring Nordschleife is widely recognized as a demanding proving ground for automotive technology, pushing vehicle powertrains to their limits under sustained high-speed and high-temperature conditions. This record is presented by Xiaomi EV as evidence of its commitment to technological refinement and the enhancement of vehicle quality, reliability, and safety.

In a related development, Xiaomi EV has deepened its engagement with the Nürburgring, becoming a premium partner of the legendary circuit. As part of this partnership, a new “Xiaomi Curve” has been introduced to the Grand Prix track.

Furthermore, Xiaomi EV has joined the Nürburgring’s test and development drives, known as the “Industry Pool,” allowing the company to leverage the circuit for accelerated EV development and testing of next-generation technologies.
