realme GT 7 achieves Guinness World Record for 24h continuous movie playback

The upcoming realme GT 7 smartphone has secured a Guinness World Record for the “Longest Marathon Watching Films/Movies on a Mobile Phone.” The device sustained 24 hours of continuous movie playback, an event certified by a Guinness World Records representative on May 23, 2025.

The record attempt was part of realme’s “Endless Power Journey,” a European cruise event that commenced in Rome, Italy. The challenge itself began at 9:30 PM IST on May 22, 2025, with a livestream hosted from Shenzhen, China. The 24-hour mark was reached and officially verified at 9:30 PM IST on May 23, 2025.

According to realme, this performance was enabled by the GT 7’s 7000mAh battery, paired with its 120W charging capability. The company also noted that this battery system has received a 5-Star Battery Certification from TÜV Rheinland.

The realme GT 7 series is scheduled for its global and Indian market introduction on May 27, 2025. The launch event is planned to take place in Paris, France.

Following the launch, the realme GT 7 and GT 7T models will be available for purchase through realme.com, Amazon.in, and other retail outlets.
