Samsung is preparing to launch its Galaxy Watch 8 series soon. Ahead of the official announcement, leaked renders of the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, shared by SammyGuru and OnLeaks, offer a preview of its expected design and features.
Design and Display
Leaked renders suggest the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is getting a major design update, with a 1.5-inch display, dimensions of roughly 46 x 46.5 x 14.2mm, and a squircle-shaped body similar to the Watch Ultra—hinting at a possible successor.
Battery and Variants
According to the report, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is expected to launch in a single 47mm size with a 435mAh rated battery, typically translating to around 450mAh. The rotating bezel, a well-known feature from earlier models, is also likely to make a comeback.
The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is expected to come in two variants—Bluetooth-only (SM-L500) and LTE (SM-L505). The report added that its 435mAh battery is a slight upgrade from the Watch 6 Classic’s 425mAh but still smaller than the Watch 5 Pro or Ultra, likely due to the space used by the rotating bezel.
Expected launch date?
Samsung plans to reveal the Galaxy Watch 8 series at its July Unpacked event, probably alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 foldables. This information is based on CAD renders and regulatory documents, but details may change before launch, since Samsung has not yet confirmed anything officially.
