Vodafone Idea (Vi) today announced updates to its three international roaming (IR) postpaid plans, offering increased data and incoming call benefits for travelers during the summer holiday season.
Vi noted that international travel from India typically spikes during summer, and the revised plans are aimed at meeting the needs of both short and extended trips. The updated plans now include double the data along with unlimited incoming calls.
Vi’s Updated International Roaming Plans
Rs. 649 Plan (1 Day)
- Data: 1 GB (was 500 MB)
- Outgoing Calls: 50 minutes
- SMS: 10
- Incoming Calls: Free
Rs. 2999 Plan (10 Days)
- Data: 10 GB (was 5 GB)
- Outgoing Calls: 300 minutes
- SMS: 50
- Incoming Calls: Free
Rs. 3999 Plan (30 Days)
- Data: 30 GB (was 12 GB)
- Outgoing Calls: 1500 minutes
- SMS: 100
- Incoming Calls: Free
Vi said these changes offer “more benefits, more convenience, and more value” exclusively for this travel season. The company added that it offers 24×7 international roaming support to help users with network or service-related issues while abroad.
Vi also continues its tie-up with Blue Ribbon Bags, providing baggage protection on all IR postpaid packs. For Rs. 99, users can receive compensation of up to Rs. 19,800 per bag if their checked-in luggage is delayed or lost for more than 96 hours after a complaint is registered.
Activation and Scheduling
Vi noted that users can schedule international roaming pack activation up to 60 days before their trip. These packs can be activated anytime through the Vi app or website by selecting the destination, duration, and plan.
