
MSI introduced the Claw A8 Platform and the Claw 8 AI+ Polar Tempest Edition at Computex 2025, expanding its handheld gaming lineup alongside the Prestige 13 AI+ Ukiyo-e Edition and Mercedes-AMG Motorsport laptops.
MSI Expands Handheld Gaming Lineup
Following the success of the MSI Claw 8 AI+, which launched in late 2024 and received the 2025 COMPUTEX Best Choice Award, MSI unveiled these two devices to offer gamers more choices.
The company noted that players can select between AMD and Intel platforms to suit their gaming preferences. At the event, MSI demonstrated the new devices by running CAPCOM’s Street Fighter 6 and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess.
Claw A8 and Claw 8 AI+ Polar Tempest Edition
The Claw A8 comes with an 8-inch FHD+ 120Hz touchscreen and is powered by the AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme Processor, paired with fast LPDDR5-800 memory. The device also has a versatile I/O port for easy connectivity during gaming.

The Claw 8 AI+ Polar Tempest Edition, driven by the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor 258V, includes a 2TB NVMe SSD for increased storage. MSI highlighted its white design with a glossy UV coating, combining style with strong performance.

Both devices offer multiple color options, allowing gamers to choose a design that matches their style, MSI added.
