Lenovo’s first self-developed smartphone SoC surfaces

LENOVO TB571FU smartphone with a new Deca-Core chip has surfaced in Geekbench listing. This is the company’s first self-developed chip, says leaker Digital Chat Station.

This reveals that the chip with model number SS1101 has 2 x 3.29GHz prime core, 3 x 2.83 GHz performance cores, 2 x 1.90GHz performance cores and 3 x 1.71GHz power efficient cores. It is said to use Immortalis-G720 GPU with 10 or more cores.

Unlike the Xiaomi XRING 01 flagship chip, this is a mid-range chip with Geekbench 6 single-core score of 2014 and multi-core score of 6763. This is said to be on par with the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 and close to Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

This could use a 5nm process compared to 3nm in Xiaomi chip. The leaker also mentioned that there is no built-in modem, so this should use an external modem.

The Geekbench listing reveals that the phone it is being tested has 16GB of RAM and runs Android 15. We still don’t know which Lenovo smartphone will get the chip first, but earlier rumours revealed the Lenovo SS1101 in Lenovo YOGA Pad 14.5, so it could be one of the first. Official announcement regarding the chip is expected soon.
