
BenQ has launched its latest W Series home cinema projectors, the W5850 and W4100i, in India. These models bring advanced technology to enhance movie watching, gaming, and streaming at home, said the company.

The W5850 is designed for large-scale viewing, capable of projecting a 200-inch image with sharp colors and contrast, ideal for dark rooms. It features a blue core laser with 2600 lumens brightness (2100 lumens at 100% DCI-P3) and a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours.

The projector includes a 1.6x motorized zoom, digital four-way lens shift, and a 1.0-1.6 throw ratio, allowing a 180-inch screen from 4 meters away.

The W4100i, suited for everyday use, offers 3200 ANSI lumens brightness using a 4LED light source, also lasting up to 30,000 hours. It features a smart mode that optimizes visuals based on content and room lighting, plus built-in Google-certified Android TV with Netflix and streaming apps.

Other features
Both projectors deliver true 4K UHD resolution with 8.3 million pixels and use BenQ’s CinematicColor technology for 100% DCI-P3 color accuracy. They support HDR-PRO, including HDR10+ and HLG, and feature a Local Contrast Enhancer for better contrast.
Audio capabilities include Dolby Atmos pass-through, eARC, and 7.1 surround sound compatibility. A 17.9ms low latency ensures smooth performance for gaming and action-packed content.
Pricing and Availability
The W5850 is priced at Rs. 7,00,000, while the W4100i costs Rs. 4,00,000. Both projectors can be bought from major home AVSI retailers across India starting this month.
