PhonePe, today, launched its next-generation SmartSpeaker, a “Made in India” device designed for merchants’ evolving needs. This upgraded version builds on the original SmartSpeaker, keeping its core features while adding improvements in connectivity and efficiency.
PhonePe introduced the SmartSpeaker in 2022 to provide offline merchants with voice-based payment notifications. Available in 21 languages, it includes a celebrity voice feature with leading Indian actors. Real-time audio alerts for successful payments allow merchants to focus on their business without checking SMS or app notifications.
The new SmartSpeaker 2nd Gen retains all the features of the original and introduces enhancements. It uses a 4G network for faster, more reliable connectivity. The device charges fully in about 75 minutes and offers a standby battery life of over seven days, or 160+ hours.

The speaker provides clear audio in noisy environments and has a compact design for crowded counter spaces.
Availability
Merchants can download the PhonePe Business app from the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, or Indus App Store to purchase the SmartSpeaker.
