Amazon India has announced that its ninth annual Prime Day event will take place in July 2025. The event is expected to feature various deals and offers exclusively for Prime members.
According to the announcement, Prime members can anticipate discounts across a range of products from established and emerging brands, including socially trending items, products favored by creators, and Amazon-exclusive selections. The event aims to provide value to members through these offers.
Prime membership benefits during the event will include exclusive deals from sellers across numerous categories such as electronics, kitchen supplies, beauty products, and apparel. Members will also continue to receive fast, free delivery services available through their membership.
Currently, Prime members in India have access to unlimited free same-day delivery on over 10 lakh products, next-day delivery on more than 40 lakh products, and 4-hour delivery for over 20,000 products. The company stated its focus is on providing significant savings through deals from a wide array of brands and sellers.
Which countries are participating in Prime Day 2025?
Prime Day 2025 will also be held in several other countries. Besides India, participating regions include Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the U.S., and the UK.
Prime Day 2024 was Amazon India’s biggest Prime Day ever
Reflecting on the previous year, Amazon India described Prime Day 2024 as its largest to date. The event reportedly achieved record-breaking sales in India, with a higher volume of items sold compared to any preceding Prime Day. The number of independent Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) that recorded a sale during Prime Day 2024 reached a new high across all editions, showing an increase of over 30% year-over-year.
SMBs, including women entrepreneurs, weavers, and artisans, collectively sold more than 1,600 units per minute during the event. Amazon also highlighted achieving its fastest delivery speeds for Prime members in India in 2024, delivering over 41 crore items on the same or next day.
Globally, Prime members reportedly saved nearly $95 billion on fast, free delivery, with Prime members in India saving an average of over ₹3,300 on deliveries last year, which is stated to be more than twice the cost of an annual membership fee.
