Amazon launches new Kindle Paperwhite in India


Amazon has launched its new Kindle Paperwhite (12th Generation) e-reader in India, after it was introduced back in October last year. This gets a 7-inch glare-free 300 PPI display, a first for a Kindle Paperwhite with narrower borders, offering a larger screen-to-body ratio for an enhanced reading experience.

This is also the thinnest Kindle Paperwhite ever, with up to 12 weeks or 3 months of battery life. The new Kindle Paperwhite offers 25% faster page turns, has 16 GB of storage and features auto-adjusting front light.

It is still Waterproof (IPX8), tested to withstand immersion in 2 meters of fresh water for 60 minutes. It comes only in Wi-Fi models, and don’t have a 4G version.

Pricing and availability

The new Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (12th Generation) comes in black colour and is priced at Rs. 16,999. It is now available from Amazon.in.

Covers for Kindle Paperwhite in Black, Marine Green, and Tulip Pink colours are available from Amazon.in at Rs. 1,999.
