Truecaller rolls out Scamfeed to crowdsource scam alerts

Truecaller – leading global caller ID & call blocking app platform – has announced Scamfeed, a new in-app feature aimed at helping users collectively fight against “digital fraud” by sharing real-time scam reports.

Scamfeed: A Community-Powered Scam Alert Stream

Scamfeed is integrated into the Truecaller app as a dynamic, user-driven platform where people can report and discuss suspicious calls, messages, or potential fraud. It’s designed to help users stay informed, spot red flags, and recognize common scam patterns shared by others in the community.

Truecaller said Scamfeed is meant to act as a “support network” created by the people most at risk of fraud. Users can check if similar incidents have already been reported, understand how scams are evolving, and get timely updates on new tactics.

The feature supports anonymous posting, threaded discussions, and sharing across platforms like WhatsApp. It covers all types of fraud—from phishing and impersonation to dating scams and financial traps.

The company added that Scamfeed isn’t just another feature—it’s a “movement.” At a time when online threats keep evolving, Truecaller believes turning its user base into a real-time defense system is a step forward in digital safety.

Availability

Scamfeed is currently available to Truecaller users in India, with plans to expand it to other regions in the coming months. More information on identifying and reporting scams is available at truecaller.com/scam-alert.

Speaking about the launch, Tonmoy Goswami, Product Director of New Initiatives at Truecaller, said:

The power of community is paramount in the fight against scams. The Scamfeed harnesses the collective vigilance of millions across India. By providing a safe space to share real experiences and warnings, we empower people to stay ahead of fraudsters, learn from each other, and ultimately protect themselves and their loved ones. It embodies our commitment to making communication smarter, safer, and more efficient.
