TRAI asks operators to publish tariff plans regularly

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has announced that all Telecom service providers should publish their Tariff Plan details regularly to let the customers know about the changes. They should also publish the tariff details in at least one Newspaper of regional language and one English newspaper at an interval not more than 6 months.

According this, all the tariff plans for pre-paid and post-paid should be published in separate formats that should contain tariff plans for the service provider in the area in a tabular format at one place for easy comparison.

These plans should also be offered at the prescribed formats at the Customer Care Centres, points of sale/retail outlets as well as on the website of the Telecom access service provider.

They should also keep it updated every time there is a change in any of the tariff plans in these formats by the 7th day of January, April, July and October at their points of sale and retail outlets.
