vivo X200 Ultra, X200s and more to be announced on April 21


After teasers, vivo has confirmed the launch of vivo X200 Ultra, X200s, vivo Pad 5 Pro, vivo Pad SE and vivo Watch 5 at an event in China on April 21st.

vivo X200 Ultra

vivo has teased the X200 Ultra in a new silver colour with patterns, in addition to red. vivo already confirmed that the X200 Ultra will retain the 200MP Samsung HP9 sensor for the 85mm periscope telephoto camera, but with a larger aperture and a 38% increase in light intake.

This will use special lens and prism technology and new coating. Night shooting, focus, stabilization, telephoto center resolution, and macro resolution will be better according to the company.

The phone will feature 14mm ultra-wide angle, the industry’s strongest ultra-wide, and 35mm main camera, which is said to use the same 50MP LYT-818 1/1.28″ sensor present in the X200 Pro. The phone is said to use a 50MP front camera, compared to 32MP in the predecessor.

Han Boxiao, vivo mobile product manager, recently posted Zeiss full-focal-length portrait samples taken by vivo X200 Ultra. According to him, vivo X200 Ultra uses the four recognized classic portrait focal lengths of 35-50-85-135mm, of which the 35mm and 85mm focal lengths use top-level sensors, and the natural blur and hairline effects have been significantly improved.

Based on rumours, the phone will pack a 6.82″ 2K 120Hz micro-curved screen, Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, IP68 + IP69 dust and waterproof ratings, and around 6000mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging and 30W wireless charging. The top-end version is said to support Beidou-3 short message satellite communication.

vivo X200s

The vivo X200s will come in new lavender, and mint blue colours, in addition to black and white. It is said to pack a 6.67″ 1.5K BOE Q10 AMOLED screen with ultra-narrow bezels on the three sides. vivo already confirmed that this will be one of the first phones to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ SoC.

The phone is said to feature an upgraded ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, 50MP IMX921 main + 50MP JN1 ultra-wide + 50MP LTY-600 3X periscope telephoto camera with ZEISS optics. It is expected to pack a 6000mAh+ battery with support for 90W wired charging and wireless charging.

vivo Pad5 Pro, vivo Pad SE and vivo Watch5

The vivo Pad5 Pro is said to pack a 13-inch 3.1K 144Hz LCD screen, Dimensity 9400+ SoC, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, 8 speakers, and a huge, 12000mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging.

The vivo Pad SE is said to pack a 12.25-inch LCD screen with optional Soft Light Edition featuring AG nano texture technology.

The vivo Watch5 is said to run Blue OS and come in Starry Black, Moonlight White with Stainless Steel and Leather strap options, in addition to silicon strap.
