Airtel launches Mediphone unique 24X7 mHealth service


Airtel has launched Mediphone – unique 24X7 mHealth service in partnership with Healthfore, A division of Religare Technologies Ltd., with Fortis Hospitals as knowledge partner. This would let the Airtel mobile customers to avail quality health advice through their mobile phones, anytime and anywhere.

This is a tele-triage service that determines the priority of patient’s treatment based on the severity of their condition. This is available for 24 hours, 7 days a week and offers Emergency assessment and advice from medical professionals & doctors, to assess & ensure right diagnosis based on clinical decision support systems.

Both the Airtel pre-paid and post-paid subscribers can call 54445 (IVR) to avail this service. Appropriate care advice and recommendation would be provided through SMS after consultation. As a part of a special introductory offer, customers will be charged Rs. 15 per call/consultation till 2nd January 2012. After that Rs.35 would be charged. The charges would reflect in next bill in postpaid or will be deducted from your account balance in the prepaid.

This is service is currently available for Airtel customers in Bihar, MP-CG, Rajasthan, NCR, UP & Uttarakhand, Himachal, Haryana and Punjab.
