Lowe’s invests in 42,000 iPhones for improved shopping experience


US based home improvement chain , Lowe’s , plans to distribute close to 42,000 iPhones between its employees to improve the in store shopping experience for customers. The iPhones will allow employees to perform on-the-go product lookups, check stock, and pull up instructional videos for customers.

It has been decided that each retail location of Lowe’s stores will be provided 25 iPhones  however the roll out plans are yet to be finalized. The move comes hot on the heels of Home Depot’s decision to provide Motorola handsets to all its employees. The company recently replaced all CRT displays in stores with flat panels and is also modernizing by providing in-store WiFi.
