Lava O2 with 6.5″ 90Hz display, 8GB RAM, glass back launched at an effective price of Rs. 7999


Lava has launched the O2 budget smartphone as the successor to last year’s O1. It has a 6.5-inch HD+ 90Hz display, is powered by the Unisoc T616 Octa-Core SoC, replacing the T606 in the predecessor. It also gets 8GB of RAM, with 8GB of additional virtual RAM.

The phone runs Android 13 with guaranteed upgrade to Android 14 and 2 years of security updates for the phone. The Lava O2 has a 50-megapixel rear camera along with an AI camera, 8MP front camera, side-mounted fingerprint scanner and packs a 5000 mAh battery with support for 18W charging over USB Type-C. Similar to most other Lava phone, this also has a glass back.

Pricing and availability

The Lava O2 comes in Imperial Green, Majestic Purple, Royal Gold
colours, is priced at Rs. 8499, but with coupon discount of Rs. 500, the effective price of the phone is Rs. 7,999, said the company. It will be available through Amazon.in and Lava online store from March 27th.

Similar to other Lava phones, ‘free service at home’ will be provided to the customers, in which service will be provided at Customers’ doorstep.
