Facebook has launched the official Facebook Messenger app for Android and iPhone. Even though the apps like Facebook for Android and Facebook for iPhone has messenger function, this app just does the messenger part so that you can view the texts, chats, emails and messages at one place.

Download the Facebook Messenger app for the Android (2.2 and above) and iPhone (iOS 4 and later) from the Android Market and the Apple iTunes store for free. This app is available only for United States as of now.
