Infinix Zero 30 5G Unboxing and First Impressions


Infinix today launched the Zero 30 5G, the company’s latest phone in the Zero series targeted at vloggers. It has a 50MP autofocus front camera with 4K 60 fps video recording that you rarely see in the segment, and also comes with a large curved AMOLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate. Here we have the first impressions of the phone.

The phone has a 6.78-inch (1080 x 2400 pixels) FHD+ 10-bit AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz Touch Sampling Rate. The screen is bright since it has up to 950 nits peak brightness. It also has, 2160Hz PWM Dimming for low brightness anti-flicker.

There is a 50MP autofocus front camera inside the tiny notch, and it supports 4K 60 fps video recording. The earpiece is present on the top edge, which doubles as a secondary speaker. You can see the dual LED flash on the bezel.

The phone has an in-display fingerprint scanner which is quick to unlock the phone. The phone runs Android 13 with XOS 13 on top, and the company has promised 1 Android OS update and 2 years of security updates for the phone. It also doesn’t have much bloatware.

Under the hood, the Zero 30 5G is powered by the Dimensity 8020 SoC, making it one of the few phones with the chip in the price range. It has support for 14 5G bands, has up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Coming to button placements, the power button is present on the right along with volume rockers. The Dual SIM slot is present on the bottom along with the primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill. The secondary microphone, and vent for speaker are present on the top. The phone doesn’t have a microSD slot or a 3.5mm audio jack.

The phone has triple rear cameras that include a 108MP main camera, OIS, 13MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP depth camera. It supports 4K video recording at 60fps from the rear camera as well. Check out some camera samples.

 

The Rome Green color that we have comes with a vegan leather back that looks and feels premium. The Golden Hour and Fantasy Purple colours have a glass back with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has IP53 ratings for dust and splash resistance.

The phone has a 5,000mAh battery with 68W PD 3.0 fast charging that can charge up to 80 percent in 30 minutes.

The Infinix Zero 30 5G starts at Rs. 23,999 and is already available to pre-order from Flipkart with launch offers.
