Sony has scheduled its Xperia product launch event on September 1 in which the company is expected to launch the new Xperia 5 V flagship smartphone. The phone surfaced in a promo video last month revealing the design and some of the specifications of the phone.
This showed dual rear cameras with ZEISS T* symbol, indicating the inclusion of the company’s anti-glare coating. It also showed bezels at the top and bottom, a 21:9 aspect ratio display, and a notchless screen. The top bezel houses the selfie camera instead of a punch-hole cutout.
It also revealed a 3.5mm port, a metal frame, and color options in black, white, and blue/gray. The power button embeds the fingerprint sensor, and the phone retains the dedicated camera shutter button.
The phone said to get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, 16GB / 12GB RAM options version, and support for 33W fast charging.
