Nuance launches Dragon Remote Microphone app for iPhone and iPad


Nuance Communications has launched Dragon Remote Microphone app, that lets you control your PC applications using your iPhone or iPad as a microphone. To use this app you need to install Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.5 on your PC and both the PC, and the iPhone or iPad must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.Just launch the Dragon Naturally Speaking application on your PC and add ‘dictation source to current user profile’ from the profiles menu and select Dragon Remote Microphone App. You need to install Bonjour for windows that lets your device to find your computer automatically.

After launching the Dragon Remote Mic app, select your PC, and the active Dragon remote profile would be displayed, if you have already installed Bonjour. You could also enter your PC details such as PC’s name, IP address and port number manually, by clicking the gears icon on the bottom and selecting the manual entry.

After selecting your profile just click the button to speak into your iPhone’s or iPad’s Mic, to control your PC applications. Download Dragon Remote Microphone app from the Apple iTunes store for iPhone and iPad that runs iOS 4.3 and later for free.
