Pixel 7a live images show a familiar design

The upcoming Google Pixel 7a has been spotted in live photos and additional specifications have been confirmed, thanks to zingnews.vn . A test device for programmers has surfaced in Vietnam, revealing the nearly complete phone. The latest leak includes images of the 7a and some of its specifications.

Google Pixel 7a Design

The Google Pixel 7a has a similar design to its predecessor and features a 6.1-inch screen that is easy to hold. Despite being a mid-range device, the phone is made with high-end materials such as a metal frame and two glass sides. One of its standout design features is the “Camera Bar” strip on the back, which has a metal protective layer for the camera and a matte finish, unlike the glossy finish of its predecessors.

The Google Pixel 7a has two 12MP cameras, one standard and one super wide angle, which is consistent with the previous generation. Google phones typically do not have top-of-the-line hardware, but the company compensates with advanced software and algorithms powered by AI. The device features a speaker strip and a USB-C charging port on the bottom edge, and like other recent Google devices, it does not include a 3.5mm audio jack. As it is a test device without a box, it is unclear what the charging capacity and accessories will be for the upcoming Pixel 7a.

Google Pixel 7a – more specifications

The Pixel 7a features a speaker strip and a USB-C charging port on the bottom edge, but does not have a 3.5mm audio jack like other recent Google devices. As a test device, it is unclear what charging capacity and accessories will be included with the final product. The device currently has one physical SIM slot, but it is uncertain whether it will support a second eSIM.

The device appears to have a protective rubber ring around the slot, suggesting it may be dust and water-resistant, similar to last year’s Pixel 6a, which was IP67 certified.

The screen border and hole-punch camera on the front of the Pixel 7a are quite thick and large, respectively, by modern smartphone standards. However, the device has a balanced appearance due to even edges. The owner of the device claims it is a software prototype from the manufacturer, not an official product, so there may be variations from the final product.

The device has 8 GB of DDR5 memory manufactured by Samsung and 128 GB of internal memory. After the images of the device were shared online, the phone was remotely locked and access to its internal software is currently limited to fastboot mode.

The owner of the Pixel 7a, Mr. D. Phi, confirmed that the device was working normally with stable Android 13 software and had a 90 Hz screen option in the settings. However, the device’s chip is unknown to the software. Mr. D. Phi purchased the device for 8 million VND from an acquaintance, and it is not covered by the seller’s warranty after being locked remotely. Rumors suggest that Google plans to move more production lines from China to Vietnam this year.
