Ola S1 Air gets new variants, now starts at Rs. 84,999


Ola Electric has introduced new Ola S1 Air models in the entry-level electric scooter segment, after the first model was introduced in October last year. There is no 2.5kWh battery model now, but there is a 3kWh model at the same price.

There are also cheaper 2 kWh battery model and a higher 4 kWh model, but the Indian Drive Cycle (IDC) range in the entry level model is 85 KM, new 3 kWh model is 125 KM and the top-end model is 165 KM per charge. All these have the same motor with 4.5kW of peak power.

There are also difference in the weight of the scooter depending on the model 99kg/103kg/107kg, making it up to 25Kgs lighter than the Ola S1 Pro. These have 34L buddy space under the seat, retain 7.0-inch TFT touchscreen display, is powered by an Octa-Core processor with 3GB of RAM.

There is also 4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support, and it comes loaded with MoveOS 3 bringing several features. It has a front telescopic fork and rear twin suspension, but it only has drum brakes and misses the disk brakes.

 

Pricing and availability

The Ola S1 Air comes in Neo Mint, Jet Black, Coral Glam, Porcelain White, and Liquid Silver colours and is priced at Rs. 84,999 for 2 kWh, Rs. 99,999 for 3 kWh and Rs. 1,09,999 for 4 KWh models. The company provides a free upgrade of 3kWh is available if you have reserved the 2.5 kWh before today.

The company has started pre-reservations on its website, and you can pay Rs. 999 to reserve it.

The purchase window for the Ola S1 Air will open soon, and the deliveries will begin in early July 2023, which is a 3-month delay due to the change in models.
