vivo Y100 with color-changing back teased ahead of India launch


Last month, the upcoming vivo Y100 (V2239) 5G smartphone was spotted on Google Play Console and Geekbench, revealing some of its specs. Now, the company has confirmed that the device will soon be launching in India.

Additionally, 91Mobiles has exclusively revealed the price range and specifications of the vivo Y100 ahead of its launch in India. It will feature a slim and lightweight design with a back panel that changes color, making it the first vivo phone with two color-changing options such as black and gold.

The vivo Y100 is said to run on Android 13 and feature a 6-inch HDR10+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 20:9 aspect ratio. Powering the device is expected to be an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM and an ARM Mali-G68 MP4 GPU.

The smartphone is rumoured to have a triple rear camera setup, with a 64-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary camera, and a 2-megapixel tertiary lens. The front-facing camera is expected to be a 50-megapixel lens housed in a hole-punch slot at the top of the front display. The vivo Y100 is expected to be available in a single configuration with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage and could be priced at around Rs. 27,000.

The “notify me” alert has already been activated on the Vivo website, indicating that the launch of the vivo Y100 is imminent. Additionally, it has been revealed that Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan will be the brand ambassador for the vivo Y100.
