realme 10 Pro Unboxing and First Impressions


realme today launched the realme 10 Pro as the successor to realme 9 Pro. This has a bigger 6.7-inch FHD+ LCD screen with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and sleek bezels while retaining the Snapdragon 695 SoC. We got hold of the phone, and here is our unboxing.

The realme 10 Pro has a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD punch-hole screen with a pixel resolution of 2400× 1080 pixels. The sunlight legibility is good as well, thanks to 680 nits peak brightness and the colors are vibrant. The phone has adaptive refresh rate that can switch between 30Hz / 48Hz / 50Hz / 60Hz / 90Hz / 120Hz depending on the content and 240Hz touch sampling rate, so it is pretty smooth to use.

The phone has a 1 mm ultra-narrow side bezels and 1.15mm top bezel, thanks to the new RAZR technology and InSeal Technology. It has screen-to-body ratio is 93.76% and supports DC dimming.

The phone has the punch-hole that houses a 16-megapixel camera. The earpiece is present on the top, and acts as a secondary speaker. The phone as ultra-narrow border, so it has high screen-to-body ratio of about 93.76%. It also has HDR support, but it doesn’t work for YouTube or Netflix videos.

Powered by Snapdragon 695 5G SoC, it has support for several 5G SA/NA bands, up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM with up to 8GB of additional RAM expansion. There is 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

Coming to the button placements and ports, the power button with a built-in fingerprint scanner is present on the right side along with the volume rockers. The hybrid dual SIM slot is present on the left. The 3.5mm audio jack, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill are present on the bottom. The secondary microphone is on the top. Audio from the stereo speakers is good.

It features a 108-megapixel main camera with Samsung HM6 sensor and a 2-megapixel portrait camera. It has 1080p 30fps video recording. Check out some camera samples.

Coming to the design, the phone comes in three colors. The Nebula Blue colour that we have has a matte rear design and it is inspired by the concept of hyperspace tunnels.

The phone also comes in Hyperspace Gold and Dark Matter colours. In the Hyperspace model, the refracted light of the design appears as if light is being stretched to the limit at ultra-high speeds, and creates a dynamic three-dimensional effect.

It has a 5000mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC fast charging that offers 0 to 50% charge in 29 minutes. Since it has a huge battery, it weighs about 190 grams.

Priced starting Rs. 18,999 for the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version, the phone will be available from Flipkart and realme.com as well as offline stores from December 16th.
