OPPO Reno9 Pro+ with 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, 16GB RAM, Reno9 and Reno9 Pro announced


OPPO just announced the Reno9 series that includes the Reno9, Reno9 Pro and Reno9 Pro+ smartphones, as it had promised. These feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED screen with, 2160Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming. These have a Symmetrical 3D design, punch-hole screen and a ring shaped LED flash.

The Reno9 is powered by Snapdragon 778G SoC, Reno9 Pro has Dimensity 8100-MAX and the Reno9 Pro+ is powered by an under clocked (3GHz) Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

The Reno9 and and the Reno9 Pro have a 5600mm² cooling area, offering 10% cooling performance improvement from the predecessor, and has 3100mm²  VC liquid cooling area. The Pro+ has Aerospace grade diamond cooling system offering 50% cooling performance improvement, ultra-density graphite, 5612mm² cooling area, 74% more dissipation area and 3165mm² VC cooling area.

The Gold version has “Gold Silk Glass Technology & Weaving Feather Pattern Technology”. Through the weaving pattern process, the glass grows a crystal structure and arranges the growth in a predetermined direction, and grows two different texture structures on a piece of black glass, says the company.

Pricing and availability

The OPPO Reno9 comes in Red, Black, Gold and Gradient colours and is priced at 2499 yuan (US$ 349 / Rs. 28,580 approx.) for 8GB +256GB, 2699 yuan (US$ 377 / Rs. 30,870 approx.) for 12GB +256GB and 2999 yuan (US$ 419 / Rs. 34,275 approx.) for 12GB +512GB model. It will be available to order from December 2nd and will go on sale from December 10th in China.

The OPPO Reno9 Pro comes in Black, Gold and Gradient colours and is priced at 3499 yuan (US$ 503 / Rs. 41,140 approx.) for 16GB +256GB and 3799 yuan (US$ 531 / Rs. 43,430 approx.) for 16GB +512GB model.

The OPPO Reno9 Pro+ comes in Black, Gold and Green colours and is priced at 3999 yuan (US$ 559 / Rs. 45,735 approx.) for 16GB +256GB and 4399 yuan (US$ 615 / Rs. 50,285 approx.) for 16GB +512GB model. The Reno 9 Pro and Reno 9 Pro+ will be available from December 2nd in China. No details about the global roll-out yet.
