Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 with 13.5″ / 15″ PixelSense display, 12th Gen Intel Core i5/i7 processors announced

Along with the Surface Pro 9, Microsoft unveiled the all-new thin and light Surface Laptop 5. The Surface Laptop 5 is more than 50% more powerful than its predecessor, thanks to its new 12th Gen Intel Core processor, Thunderbolt 4, and co-engineering and verification as an Intel Evo device. There is no AMD option this time.

The Surface Laptop 5 comes in two display sizes (13.5-inch or 15-inch) with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a front-facing HD camera on top. PixelSense technology is used on the display, and touch response is supported.

The display features Dolby Vision IQ, which provides vibrant colours and sharp contrast in all lighting conditions. Dolby Atmos 3D spatial processing is also present to provide high-quality audio output.

The Surface Laptop 5 supports up to 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD. Microsoft promises up to 18 hours of battery life for the 13.5″ screen variant and 17 hours for the 15″ variant. Also, buyers can choose between a keyboard with a sophisticated Alcantara finish or a keyboard with a metal finish.
