HONOR MagicBook 14 with 2.1K display, 12th Gen Intel i5 / i7 CPU, up to RTX 2050 GPU, sleek metal body announced


HONOR just announced the new MagicBook 14 laptop as the successor to last year’s model. It has a 14-inch 2.1K 3:2 screen with 100% sRGB high color gamut and a screen-to-body ratio of 88%. It has TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light and No Screen Flicker triple eye protection certification. The laptop is powered by the latest 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12500H processor with NVIDA RTX 2050 or NVIDIA MX550 options and also in Core i7-12650H model.

The laptop runs runs the Magic OS for custom Windows. The company said that it is the first thin and light notebook equipped with HONOR OS Turbo technology, so the power consumption is reduced by 39.6% and the response speed is increased by 17.9%, according to the company.

It uses a grille-type dual air inlet design, and the air intake area is increased by 31.7%; the new heat dissipation design has a symmetrical dual fan, and the overall air volume is increased by 35%, and the heat dissipation of the whole laptop is increased by 56%, compared to the predecessor. The running noise is 20dB.

It has an all-metal body, and the company says that it is the world’s first 14-inch thin and light notebook with a 75Wh battery that supports 100W fast charging, and supports reverse charging when turned off. It can be fully charged in 80 minutes. In addition, this is also the first model in the industry to come standard with a 100W GaN charger.

The HONOR MagicBook 14 (2022) comes in Starry Grey and Glacier Silver colours and is priced at 5499 yuan (US$ 808 / Rs. 62,990 approx.) for the Core i5 model, 5699 yuan (US$ 838 / Rs. 65,270 approx.) for the Core i7 model, 5999 yuan (US$ 882 / Rs. 68,710 approx.) for the Core i5 with MX550 GPU model and the top-end Core i5 with NVIDIA RTX2050 model costs 6499 yuan (US$ 956 / Rs. 74,435 approx.).

It is available to order from today and will go on sale in China from May 19th.
