Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ 4nm SoC said to be introduced in early May


Qualcomm introduced its flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Mobile platform at its Snapdragon Tech Summit 2021 in December. Today, rumours about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus have surfaced which reveals that it will be introduced in early May, according to tipster Yogesh Brar. We can expect higher clock speeds and possibility an upgrade in gaming performance.

Earlier rumours revealed that Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus will have part number SM8475 and will be a 4nm SoC that is said to be manufactured by TSMC. The early May launch date coincides with the Qualcomm 5G summit, which is scheduled from May 9th to 11th in San Diego. The company is also expected to introduce its upgraded 700 series SoCs at the event.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ is expected to be introduced in motorola ‘Frontier 22’, OnePlus 10 Ultra, Xiaomi 12 Ultra, the next ROG phone and more models coming out in the second half of the year.
