realme C35 Unboxing and First Impressions


This week, realme launched the realme C35 smartphone in India as the successor to last year’s realme C25. This features a 6.6-inch FHD+  screen for the first time in the C series, is powered by Unisoc T616 SoC compared to Helio G70 in the predecessor. We got hold of the phone, and here is our unboxing.

The realme C35 has a 6.6-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with a pixel resolution of 2412 × 1080 pixels 2.5D curved glass screen with gentle rounded corners. The display is bright, and the sunlight legibility is decent. It offers up to 600 nits peak brightness. It has 60Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate.

The phone has a notch that houses an 8-megapixel camera. The earpiece is present on the top edge, but it doesn’t have stereo speakers. Powered by Unisoc T616 SoC SoC with 4GB of RAM, it doesn’t have RAM Expansion tech that is found in its narzo and the number series phones. It runs Android 11 with realme UI R Edition.

Coming to the button placements, the power button which includes the fingerprint scanner is present on the right side. The dedicated dual SIM and microSD slots are on the left, along with the volume rockers. The 3.5 mm audio jack, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill are present on the bottom. It doesn’t have a secondary microphone.

Coming to the camera, this features a 50-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture and Samsung JN1 Sensor along with a 2-megapixel 4cm macro camera with f/2.4 aperture and a VGA depth sensor with f/2.8 aperture. It supports up to 1080p 30 fps video recording and the front camera supports 720p video recording. Check out some camera samples below.

Coming to the design, the phone has a Dynamic Glowing Design that reflects light to offer a unique design. Even though the phone has a plastic body, it has a premium design, thanks to the back and flat sides.  The phone also has TÜV Rheinland Smartphone High Reliability Certification. It is 8.1mm thin, and weighs 189 grams since it packs a 5000mAh battery.

Starting at a price of Rs. 11,999 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version, the phone will be available from realme.com, Flipkart and offline stores from March 12th.
