During a launch event yesterday, Microsoft announced their next generation Surface Pro 8 2-in-1 tablet PC along with the Surface Laptop Studio and Surface Pro X. The newest Surface Pro 8 is built on the Intel Evo platform, featuring an upgraded 13-inch PixelSense touchscreen, and it is powered by 11th Gen Intel Core processors.
The Surface Pro 8’s display is a significant upgrade over the previous generation, with a larger 13-inch PixelSense Flow Display that has a resolution of 2880 x 1920, a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, with Adaptive Color Technology and Dolby Vision support. Powering the device is either a 11th Gen Intel Core i7 or Core i5 processor, up to 32GB of LPDDR4x RAM, up to 1TB of SSD storage and of course, runs Windows 11 out-of-the-box.
Microsoft added two Thunderbolt 4 this time around, along with Dolby Atmos sound, dual far-field Studio mics, a 5MP front-facing camera and a 10MP-4K rear-facing camera. According to Microsoft, the Surface Pro 8 has a battery life that is rated at up to 16 hours with regular use.
