Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch with 1.28-inch AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100+ SoC announced


Fossil, well known for their high quality watches and now smartwatches too, has unveiled their next generation Gen 6 Touchscreen Smartwatch. It features the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100+, a 1.28-inch touchscreen digital display, a fast charging battery, a  Sp02 sensor and more.

The Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch comes in 2 sizes – a 44mm case in 4 colours and a 42mm case in three colorways, each with interchangeable strap options. It comes with an upgraded heart rate sensor that enables continuous tracking and improved signal accuracy, along with a new SpO2 sensor too. Android and iOS users can make and receive calls directly via its integrated speakers.

The battery life of the Gen 6 has also been improved, offering more than 24 hours of battery life (based on usage) or multiple days in Extended
Battery Mode. It supports quick charging, where a 30 minute charge will top up the battery to 80%. Lastly, the Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch runs Wear OS 2 by Google, and will be upgradeable to Wear OS 3 in 2022.

The Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch starts at $299 (Approx. Rs. 21,813) and is available for pre-order globally.
