OPPO Gaming phone patent surfaces in Europe

OPPO is expected to be working on its first gaming phone, as the image of the phone has surfaced at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). The company has filed for its patent on May 28th, and it has been approved on July 2nd.

The image doesn’t reveal any notch on the screen for the camera, but it is expected to feature a punch-hole camera similar to the Reno5 Marvel Edition, which this resembles. Also, the bezel-less screen in the patent images might not resemble in the final product. We can expect a high-refresh rate OLED screen.

According to the images, it will feature a power button on the right and volume rockers on the left. It will have a 3.5mm audio jack on the bottom along with a bottom-ported loudspeaker, but we can expect the earpiece to double up as a secondary speaker.

The back might have LED lights with an option to be controlled using the phone, similar to the ROG phone. The camera design looks similar to other Reno series phones. It is not clear when we can expect the phone, but OPPO should soon compete with other gaming phone series ASUS ROG, Lenovo Legion, nubia RedMagic and others.
