Sony Interactive Entertainment acquires game software company ‘Nixxes’


Lately, Sony has been working towards bringing their PlayStation exclusive game titles to the PC platform, such as Horizon Zero Dawn. Now, Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has acquired a Dutch based game development and optimization company known as Nixxes.

Nixxes is based in Utrecht, Netherlands, and is a company known for their expertise in video game design, development and porting. After the acquisition, the company will lend this expertise, such as in-house technical and development capabilities, to PlayStation Studios.

Commenting on the acquisition, Hermen Hulst, Head of PlayStation Studios said:
