What do we know about OnePlus Nord CE 5G?

Similar to last year, OnePlus is taking its Nord Instagram handle to reveal exciting features of the device along with some exciting merchandise.

For the uninitiated, CE in Nord CE stands for Core Edition. “We took the core features you love about OnePlus Nord, then added some unexpected extras, simply because we could,” says the company.

To date, the company has revealed that the Nord CE 5G will feature a 64MP primary camera, a 4500mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T Plus fast charging support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

On the display front, the OnePlus CE (Core Edition) 5G also teased the 90Hz refresh rate and HDR 10+ support or enhanced, and more accurate, colour reproduction. However, the company didn’t disclose the size of the display. The leaks on the internet suggest that it would come with a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen.

OnePlus has confirmed that the device will be slim, with a thickness of just 7.9mm. In terms of colour variant, OnePlus has teased Nord CE 5G with Blue Void colour, which will have a matte texture, but it is also expected to come in Blue and White colours.

Talking about the other aspects of Nord CE 5G, the device is expected to come powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 750 SoC with options of up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage.

If it’s true, the mobile platform features Qualcomm Kryo 570 CPU, which delivers up to 20% compared to Snapdragon 730G, and the Qualcomm Adreno 619 GPU promises up to 10% better graphics rendering compared to Snapdragon 730G.  The 750 SoC also offers Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming features for a smooth, low-latency gaming experience. It has Qualcomm Snapdragon X52 5G Modem, which supports both mmWave and sub-6 GHz, SA and NSA modes, TDD, FDD, and Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS), and global roaming and global multi-SIM.

Further, the Nord CE 5G  will come with a triple camera setup. While the primary camera has been already confirmed to be 64MP, an 8MP ultra-wide/telephoto and a 2MP depth/macro sensor are likely to complete the camera setup. On the front, the Nord CE 5G is expected to carry the 16MP selfie camera found on the latest OnePlus 9 Series.

With regards to pricing, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G base variant is expected to go on sale carrying a price tag of Rs. 22,999 along with offers and discounts for HDFC Bank card users.

OnePlus Nord CE will go pre-orders for Red Club members on 11 June with gifts worth Rs. 2699 for the pre-order customers. The phone will go on open sale on 16 June.

Serving as an extension of the OnePlus TV U Series, the new TV is set to bring a best-in-class 4K cinematic display with a much more intelligent, interconnected experience to users at a truly attractive price point. The 4K display panel will get Gamma Engine Optimization for better visuals.
