The device comes in two variants – a Bluetooth LE 5.o variant that will work with any Galaxy device, and a UWB (Ultra wide band) variant that will only with the Galaxy S21+ and the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

The device can be attached to a keychain or other small objects and can be used to track it from within 120 meters of the user’s Galaxy device. Also, a double press of the button will activate the user’s Galaxy device’s ringtone to find it.

The tag uses a replaceable CR2032 button battery, and Samsung has not made any claims for the device’s battery life. The Galaxy SmartTag (BLE variant) will be launching along with the Galaxy 21 series for a price of $29.99 (Approx. Rs. 2,193). Samsung is also offering the Galaxy SmartTag for free for those pre-ordering the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra.
