Samsung M7 and M5 Smart Monitors starts rolling out globally


Samsung has announced the global launch of their Smart Monitors, which is a do-it-all monitor that combines a conventional PC display with a Samsung Smart TV experience. It has connectivity options for both PCs and smartphones, native support for Microsoft Office 365 applications and other apps like Netflix, YouTube, etc.

The Smart Monitor has many connectivity options such as Tap View App Casting, Apple AirPlay, Samsung DeX along with the traditional HMDI 2.0 port and a USB Type-C port, which supports up to 65W charging. The monitor features Adaptive Picture which can adjust brightness and color temperature optimize the picture quality for any viewing environment.

It has embedded WiFi capabilities which enable support for Microsoft Office 365 applications without needing a PC to be connected and the Remote Access feature lets users wirelessly and remotely access files from a PC or view content from a laptop. Regarding the “Smart” features, the Monitor has an app store where entertainment apps like Netflix, HBO and YouTube can be installed from.

The monitor is available in two models – the UHD 32-inch M7 priced at $400 (Rs. 29,815 approx.) and a FHD M5 which comes in 27-inch and 32-inch options priced at $230 (Rs. 17,145 approx.) and $280 (Rs. 20,870 approx.), respectively. Both models will starting rolling out from November 16 in the United States, Canada and China, and coming to more countries later on.
