Microsoft introduces new Surface Pro X with SQ2 processor, 15-hour battery life and more


The Surface Pro X launched last year as Microsoft attempt at producing a product with all of the promises of ARM based computing. Microsoft has announced a refresh for the thin-and-light device, offering an updated custom designed Microsoft SQ 2 processors, and a longer battery life of 15 hours.

Microsoft will continue to sell the older models from last year with the Microsoft SQ 1 processor, and offer the newer SQ2 processor only for the top end models. Since its release last year, there have been number of improvements to the Windows ARM ecosystem, like a new version of Microsoft Teams that is optimized for Windows on ARM and an update to Visual Studio that allows it to run natively.
