Nokia 2.1 Android 10 Go Edition update starts rolling out


HMD Global has started rolling out Android 10 update for the Nokia 2.1 Android Go Edition phone smartphone, which makes it the 17th Nokia phone to get the update after the Nokia 8.1, Nokia 9 PureViewNokia 7.1Nokia 6.1 PlusNokia 7 PlusNokia 6.1Nokia 2.2, Nokia 7.2Nokia 3.2Nokia 4.2Nokia 8 SiroccoNokia 2.3Nokia 6.2Nokia 1 Plus and Nokia 5.1 Plus, and Nokia 1 Android Go Edition.

Nokia 2.1 was launched back in May 2018 with Android Oreo (Go Edition) and it received the Android 9 Pie update last year. Following that, now the Android 10 update on Nokia smartphones bring a number of additional privacy and security features for users, as well as Dark Theme, Focus mode, dedicated ‘Privacy section’, and more.

The update weighs 871MB in size, carries the version number V4.11C and brings the August Security Patch alongside new Android 10 features. It is being rolled out in batches in several counties including Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.

HMD Global says that 10% of users in the above regions will receive the update today, 50% of users will receive it by September 5th, and full rollout in these regions will be completed by September 7th, 2020.
