Redmi Note 8 gets yet another price hike in India, now starts at Rs. 12499


The recent GST Rate Hike on smartphones increased the prices of various phones including Xiaomi’s Redmi smartphones. The Redmi Note 8 received multiple price hike in recent months and now, the smartphone has again received a price hike of Rs. 500 in India, just before the Redmi Note 9 launch.

Redmi Note 8 4GB + 64GB model is now selling for Rs. 12,499, against its previous selling price of Rs. 11,999. On the other hand, there is no change in the price of the 6GB + 128GB model. It is selling for Rs. 14,499. This is the 5th price hike for the Redmi Note 8 since launch and a total of Rs. 2500 price hike for the 4+64GB model from its launch price (Rs. 9999).

The revised price is reflecting on Mi.com, Amazon.in, and is soon expected to be revised in offline stores as well.
