Update: March 19, 2020 – Redmi has posted new images of the phone in Green, White and Purple colors. It has also confirmed 3435mm² VC liquid-cooled heat sink, Game Turbo 3.0, 4D vibration when playing games and said that it has been certified by TÜV Rheinland for high-performance gaming.
The company says that it has faster pop up camera, which is tested to last long.
Update: March 17, 2020 – Redmi has confirmed that the K30 Pro will be introduced in China on March 24. The company has also posted an image of the phone’s glass back and metal frame that shows 64MP quad rear cameras, pop-up camera, 3.5mm audio jack and possible an IR sensor on the top, which the K20 Pro did not have. It will come with LDPPR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
Earlier: Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has started teasing the launch of Redmi K30 Pro, the company’s flagship smartphone ahead of announcement in March. The company has confirmed no-notch screen with pop-up camera, similar to the Redmi K20. It has also confirmed that the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 865 and will support 5G. It should run Android 10 with MIUI 11.
Other specifications are not known yet, but it is expected to feature FHD+ AMOLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate, in-display fingerprint scanner, LPDDR5 RAM, 40W fast charging, retain the 3.5 headphone jack, and a slightly bigger 4700mAh battery compared to the predecessor. It is rumored to come with a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor and could come with quad rear cameras and an improved front-facing camera.
