HONOR MagicBook 14 and MagicBook 15 with up to 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen 7 CPU, Radeon RX Vega 10 GPU, pop-up camera announced


Alongside the HONOR V30, V30 Pro, and MagicWatch 2, HONOR has also introduced its new MagicBook lineup of laptops with AMD Ryzen processor – HONOR MagicBook 14 and MagicBook 15. The new HONOR MagicBook 14 and MagicBook 15 sports small blue edge design, new Magic Link 2.0 function, up to 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen processor, and more.

HONOR MagicBook 14

HONOR MagicBook 14 flaunts a 14-inch FULL HD IPS display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by up to 2nd Generation AMD Ryzen 7 3700U processor with 2.1GHz base clock speed (turbo boost up to 3.7GHz) and Radeon RX Vega 10 graphics. It is paired with 8GB DDR4 RAM clocked at 2100MHz and 512GB PCIe SSD.

HONOR has also upgraded the cooling system in this laptop and has adopted an s-shaped fan blade design that results in up to 38% effective cooling. It also features the new Magic Link 2.0 that enables a seamless connection between mobile phones and PCs. Apart from this, the connectivity options and ports include Dual-band WiFi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, 720p HD camera (pop-up camera), fingerprint scanner, backlight keyboard, 1 x USB Type-C port, 1 x USB 3.0 Type-A, 1 x USB 2.0 Type-A, 1 x HDMI, and 3.5mm audio combo jack. It packs a 56Wh battery and the product measures 322.5 × 214.8 × 15.9mm in size and weighs about 1.38Kg. It runs on the Linux operating system.

HONOR MagicBook 15

HONOR MagicBook 15 flaunts a 15.6-inch FULL HD IPS display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by 2nd Generation AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor with 2.1GHz base clock speed (turbo boost up to 3.7GHz) and Radeon RX Vega 10 graphics. It is paired with 8GB DDR4 RAM clocked at 2100MHz and 512GB PCIe SSD.

Pricing and Availability

HONOR MagicBook 14 is priced at 3899 yuan (US$ 554 / Rs. 39,620 approx.) for the Ryzen 5 variant and 4199 yuan (US$ 596 / Rs. 42,660 approx.) for the Ryzen 7 variant. The MagicBook 15 is priced at 3899 yuan (US$ 554 / Rs. 39,620 approx.). It will be available from December 1st, 2019 in China. There is no word on international availability yet.
