Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro sales cross 1 million units in India in a month of launch


Xiaomi’s Redmi brand launched Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro smartphones last month in India. Both the smartphones witnessed a huge demand and the company has conducted several sales every week so far. Today, Xiaomi India has announced that Redmi Note 8 Series sales have surpassed 1 Million or 10 lakh Units in a month.

The record of 1 Million Units combines both online sales and offline sales through Mi Home stores. To recall, Redmi Note 8 is powered by the Snapdragon 665 and comes in two configurations i.e., 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. It sports a 48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP Quad Rear Cameras with LED Flash, 13MP Front Camera and is backed up by a 4000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.

On the other hand, Redmi Note 8 Pro is powered by the Helio G90T processor and comes in 6GB RAM + 64GB storage,  6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage options. It sports a 64MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP Quad Rear Cameras with LED Flash, 20MP Front Camera and is backed up by a 4500mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.

The Redmi Note 8 comes in Neptune Blue, Moonlight White, Cosmic Purple and Space Black colors, is priced at Rs. 9999 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version and the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version costs Rs. 12,999. It is available online from Amazon.in and mi.com as well as Mi Home stores and select offline stores.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro comes in Gamma Green, Halo White and Shadow Black colors, is priced at Rs. 14,999 for the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version costs Rs. 15,999 and the top-end 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version costs Rs. 17,999. It is available online from Amazon.in and mi.com, as well as Mi Home stores. The company has not announced when the phones will go on open sale.
