Google rolls out November 2019 security update for Pixel devices, includes Smooth Display and Camera quality improvements for Pixel 4


Google has started rolling out new over-the-air (OTA) update for Pixel devices and also posted factory images as part of monthly Android Security release for November. Pixel and Pixel XL phones will not get security patches starting this month since the phone has completed 3 years.

New builds for the Pixel devices with November 2019 Android Security update:

  • Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL (QD1A.190821.014.C2)
  • Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL (QP1A.191105.003)
  • Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL (QP1A.191105.004)

  • Additional support for Xbox BT controller mapping for Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL, Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL
  • Improvements for bottom speaker audio quality for Pixel 3
  • Additional fixes for some devices stuck during boot for Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL
  • Smooth Display improvements and Camera quality improvements for Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL

As usual Essential has also rolled out the November security patch for the Essential Phone.
