Lenovo upgrades Legion and IdeaPad laptops with new 9th Gen Intel Core mobile processors


Intel launched the new 9th Gen Intel Core mobile H-series processors this week and Intel said that laptops powered by the new processors will launch from OEMs including Lenovo, Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, and MSI soon. In similar lines, today, Lenovo has refreshed 3 Legion gaming laptops and launched a new Legion gaming laptop and IdeaPad gaming laptop with the new 9th Intel Core mobile H-series processor.

Lenovo has upgraded the Legion Y740, Y540 and Y7000p gaming laptops with the latest mobile H-series processors from Intel and has launched the Legion 7000 gaming laptop and IdeaPad L340 gaming laptop with the new processors as well.

Legion Y740

The Lenovo Legion Y740 is now refreshed with up to the latest 9th Gen Intel Core i7 mobile processor and Windows 10 Home. It is powered by the next-gen NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 with Max-Q design and users can choose the latest GeForce GTX 1660 Ti as another GPU option. The RTX 2080 is available on both the 15-inch and 17-inch model. With regards to display, the Y740 flaunts a 144Hz Full HD 1920 x 1080 display with support for NVIDIA G-SYNC and Dolby Vision.

The Y740 is priced starting at US$1609.99 (Rs. 1,13,150 approx.) for the 15-inch model and US$1669.99 (Rs. 1,17,350 approx.) for the 17-inch model.

Legion Y7000p

The Lenovo Legion Y7000p comes in a sleek aluminum metal design and is also refreshed with up to the latest 9th Gen Intel Core i7 mobile processor. It is powered by the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 and users can choose the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti and 1650 as other GPU options.

The Y7000p is priced starting at US$979.99 (Rs. 68,880 approx.) for the GTX 1650 model and US$1199.99 (Rs. 84,340 approx.) for the GTX 1660 Ti model.

New Legion Y7000

Lenovo has launched the new Legion Y7000 gaming laptop with up to 9th Gen Intel Core i7 mobile processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU and users get a choice to choose between GeForce GTX 1660 Ti or 1650 GPUs. This new gaming laptop comes with crimson red “Y” lighting and full-sized red-backlit keyboard along with a near-edgeless 15-inch Full HD display. The display has a 144Hz refresh rate and 300 nits of brightness.

There is no information on the pricing and availability of the Y7000 as of now.

Legion Y540

The Legion is also refreshed with up to 9th Gen Intel Core i7 mobile processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU. The Y540 is available at a more accessible price point starting at US$929.99 (Rs.65,350).

The Y540 is priced starting at US$929.99 (Rs. 65,350) for the 15- inch model and US$989.99 (Rs. 69,580) for the 17-inch model with GTX 1650 GPU. The 15-inch model with GTX 1660 Ti GPU starts at US$1209.99 (Rs. 85,040) and the 17-inch model with the same CPU and GPU options start at US$1269.99 (Rs. 89,250)

New Ideapad L340

Along with the Legion Y7000, Lenovo has also launched the new Ideapad L340 gaming laptop. It is an ideal mainstream laptop for the modern multi-tasker and undercover gamer and is available in 15-inch or 17-inch models. It is also powered by up to 9th Gen Intel Core i7 mobile processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 GPUs.

The new L340 is priced starting at US$869.99 (Rs. 61,150) for the 15-inch model and US$919.99 (Rs. 64,650) for the 17-inch model.

All the 5 models with the new processors will be available starting May 2019 and June 2019 in the US.
