Xiaomi Mi 9 SE Hands On and Photo Gallery


Apart from Mi 9, Xiaomi has also introduced a slim down variant; the Mi 9 SE which has a 90.4% screen-to-body ratio. It is also the world’s first smartphone to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 712 SoC. Here we bring you the Hands-On and Photo Gallery of the phone.

It has a 5.97-inches (1080 × 2280 pixels) Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 103.8% NTSC Color Gamut, and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It packs a 3070mAh battery with 18W fast charging. The Mi 9 SE is powered by the Snapdragon 712 10nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 616 GPU and runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with MIUI 10 on top.

On the storage front, the phone comes with 6GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB  and 128GB (UFS 2.1) storage. It packs an in-display fingerprint sensor, Infrared sensor. As for the camera, the Mi 9 features triple rear-camera which consists of a 48MP primary sensor with 1/2.0″ Sony IMX586 sensor, LED flash, an 8MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, 13MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.4 aperture. There is a 20MP front-facing camera.

On the right, you have the power and volume rocker buttons which are tactile and offer good feedback. The SIM tray is present on the left. On the back, you have Mi branding, triple rear cameras, LED flash. The USB Type-C port and speaker grills are present on the bottom, while on the top, you have the IR blaster.

The device measures 7.45mm in thickness. It also supports various connectivity options Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (2×2 MU-MIMO ), Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, USB Type-C.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE comes in Blue, Violet and Dark great colors and will go on sale in China starting from March 1st at 1,999 yuan (US$ 297 / Rs. 21,150 approx.).
